Centre Party

The Centre Party is building a Finland that is a good place for all Finns to live in. We do not think that the hard right or patronizing left are on the right course, instead we find a balance in the centre. We are a party for all of Finland, seeking solutions and progress.

The important values for the Centre Party are hard work, fairness and communality. We believe that everyone must bear responsibility for their environment; the Centre Party fosters a sustainable relationship with nature.

At the Centre Party, we act on the basis of and for the good of education. We value teamwork and good team spirit. Instead of gloom and doom, we instil faith in the future. We talk about things that are part of people’s everyday reality right now.

We believe in basic security, regional equality and decision-making close to the people. We are proudly patriotic and international.

The Centre Party’s politics are based on values, knowledge and experience. We build on what is tried and true. At the same time, we innovate, experiment and, when necessary, swim upstream.

We defend the Finnish way of life and draw on our strengths. We do not shy away, but face the world with open eyes.

We are building a welfare society in which everyone feels that they are valuable and contributes to building our country as far as their abilities allow. Everyone deserves hope and opportunities.

We make solutions for homes and families. Everyone should be able to realise their possible dreams of having a child. Working life and regulations need to consider the everyday life of families.

Equal and high-quality education is a matter of the heart for the Centre Party. Young people deserve a chance for education, hobbies and working life. Lifelong learning is for everyone. For the ageing and the infirm, we want treatment, care and services based on needs, not fortune or postal code. It must be possible to build a good life everywhere throughout Finland.

We should have enough food and energy on our own and in all situations. We must secure the ability of the authorities and Defence Forces to do their work. Sustainable financial management is a part of our task of safeguarding the future of the Finnish people.

We fight climate change with fair means. Renewable resources, lands and forests also provide opportunities for work, entrepreneurship and wellbeing.

We want an internationally-active Finland that is a good nation for investments and earnings. Finland should be known as a nation of education, sustainable finances and the rule of law.

Every Centre Party member has a voice

As a member of the Centre Party, you are part of a unique movement that uses its voice for the good of humanity, joint responsibility and working together.

Every Centre Party member has a voice. As a member, you can participate in events, develop your skills and discuss current issues in like-minded company. Membership also offers a direct channel for both local and national influence. You can run for local, regional, Parliamentary and European Parliamentary positions. Or you can help those running for these positions in any way that suits you. Party membership and the membership fee are strong statements and important support for our work on behalf of the entire country of Finland.

With the Centre Party, you can be an equal member in the associations of the Centre Party, Centre Women, Centre Youth or Centre Students. As member, you can participate in Centre Party activities ranging from local gatherings to events for thousands of people. Membership provides a channel for influence in the early phase of decision-making. You are free to take advantage of the possibilities offered by membership according to your interests and options.
