The Centre Party is building a Finland where you and your loved ones can have a good life. We feel that neither the hard right nor the patronising left are on the right course. Instead, we find balance in the centre.
We are a party for all of Finland. We do not believe that postal codes should dictate one’s life in Finland. Keeping our country inhabited from border to border is the foundation of our national security.
The Centre Party has its feet firmly planted on the ground. We believe in moderation rather than provocation. As indicated by our name, we stand at the centre and mediate in the middle. This means we listen, compromise and collaborate as opposed to sowing discord. We are not looking for a common enemy but a common direction.
We are both proudly patriotic and international. We defend the Finnish way of life and draw from our strengths.
The Centre Party’s politics are based on values, knowledge and experience. We build on what has already been successful. At the same time, we innovate, experiment and, when necessary, swim against the tide. We do not shy away but face the world with open eyes.
At the Centre Party, we do not ask what yesterday looked like but what we need for tomorrow.
Join us!
A Centre Party Finland achieves growth through competence, hard work and entrepreneurship. The goal is a country where everyone can contribute to building our homeland to the best of their abilities.
The Centre Party advocates on behalf of homes and families. For us, it is important that everyone has the opportunity to realise their dream of having a child. There must be a balance between work and leisure time in everyday family life.
Equal and high-quality education is a top priority for the Centre Party. Young people deserve the chance to study, have hobbies and work for a living. Lifelong learning belongs to everyone.
It must be possible to build a good life anywhere in Finland. The elderly and the infirm need proper treatment, care and services based on need, not wealth or postal code.
We should be able to produce sufficient food and energy on our own, in all situations. We must secure the ability of the authorities and Defence Forces to act in any and all circumstances. A sustainable economy creates a strong foundation upon which to build a safer Finland.
We prevent climate change through fair means. Renewable resources, land and forests also provide opportunities for work, entrepreneurship and wellbeing.
An internationally-active Finland attracts investments and is as a good place to live. We feel it is important for Finland to be known as an educated, civil and reliable nation that respects international agreements.
We believe that Finland’s best days lie ahead. The Centre Party gives you the opportunity, every day, to be part of shifting things in a better direction.
As a member of the Centre Party, you are part of a unique movement that uses its voice to benefit humanity, joint responsibility and collaboration.
Every Centre Party member can make a difference. Membership enables you to participate in events, develop your skills and discuss current issues in like-minded company.
Membership also offers a direct channel for both local and national influence. You can run for local, regional, Parliamentary and European Parliamentary positions. Or you can help those running for these positions in any way that suits you. Party membership and the membership fee are strong statements and important support for our work to benefit all of Finland.
In the Centre Party, you can be an equal member of party associations, Centre Women, Centre Youth or Centre Students. As a member, you can participate in Centre Party activities ranging from local gatherings to events for thousands of people. Membership provides an avenue for influence in the early phase of decision-making. You can take advantage of the possibilities offered by membership according to your own interests and capabilities.
Join us to have an impact and learn new things. The Centre Party offers training, friendship, networking and a meaningful pursuit.

We are a major Finnish change movement with over 55,000 members.
There are more than 1,500 Centre Party associations operating throughout Finland.
We have more than 2,600 councillors representing the Centre Party on municipal councils and over 300 delegates in wellbeing services counties.
We are the most influential party for entrepreneurs with 744 elected entrepreneurial representatives in municipalities and 70 elected entrepreneurial representatives in the wellbeing services counties.
In addition, we are the most unique and largest national movement that organises Finland’s largest party meeting, bringing together thousands of Centre Party members for an entire weekend.
Come along and check us out!
