Peace and stability
First and foremost, the European Union means to us a continent of humanity, peace and stability. The EU offers many forms of opportunities to Finnish people and enterprises.
The Centre Party wants to work for a safe, competitive and socially responsible union that offers increasing welfare to its citizens. A union that has the will and ability to be a forerunner in solving global and cross-border problems, such as climate change and the fight against poverty. A union that creates new opportunities of free trade and innovation. A place where all citizens can enjoy prosperity and social and cultural wellbeing.
We think that the European Union should add value to its citizens’ lives. It should not make life harder for its citizens – quite the opposite. The Centre Party wants us Finns to be seen and heard on all stages and platforms of decision-making in the Union. We aspire to look for the common good of all Europeans, still taking care of what is best for Finland.
Our ambition is an active, influential Finland in the European Union.
